What is Person-Centered Therapy?
Person-centered therapy is non-directive, humanistic, and empowering. Rachel believes in your ability to heal and your capacity for growth; you are the expert in your life and this is the foundation for change. We believe in staying busy when it helps, but knowing when to return to the hive to rest.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Absolutely! We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions so you can get the support you need from the comfort of your own home across the state of Texas.
How do I get started?
Simply click the "Book a Consultation" button and you can schedule a free 15-minute virtual consultation to see if the hive is the right fit for your journey.
How do I know if we’re a good match?
The therapeutic alliance is critical. Book your virtual consultation to make a personal connection. If you decide you want a different kind of therapy, I am happy to help with referrals!
What happens during the first session?
The first session includes a brief diagnostic evaluation. You will have time to talk about your history, concerns, and goals. Intake documents sent beforehand help us make the most of this time.
What is your cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy is 24 hours notice. Please feel free to reschedule through SimplePractice, where all my availability is listed.
What modalities do you use?
I draw on a wide range of theories to suit your individual needs. I specialize in complex trauma and recovery from childhood trauma and adversity. I work with CBT, DBT, Polyvagal theory, Mindfulness practices, Internal Family Systems (Parts Work), and ACT. Please click the services tab for more resources.
